BBQs 2U Customer Review for Kamado Joe Big Joe

Let me tell you, folks, grilling is not just about throwing some burgers on a gas grill anymore. Since my Kamado Joe Big Joe was delivered from BBQs 2U, my backyard barbeques have become legendary.

This mammoth grill is not just a bad boy but a complete outdoor oven that has inspired me to experiment with a variety of cooking styles.

Size matters

Big Joe is not an average-sized grill. It is available in two sizes: KJ Big Joe II and III. The main difference between II and III is the cooking capacity and some extra features in the newer model.

With the whopping cooking surface, I can smoke a whole brisket and grill a feast for a family reunion or experiment with multi-course meals outdoors.

The thick ceramic walls ensure everything cooked is perfect and retains the delicious smoky flavor.

Divide & Conquer

The Kamado Joe Big Joe II & III have a cooking surface of 452 sq. inches, but the third generation includes a taller and deeper 3-tier Divide and Conquer system, increasing the cooking capacity. This means I get two to three separate cooking zones—direct and indirect.

I can simultaneously sear juicy steaks over high heat and slow smoke ribs. To keep something warm, place it on the indirect heat side.

The divide-and-conquer system makes multitasking on the grill a breeze. I get creative with different cooking styles.

Built & aesthetic

Besides functionality, Big Joe also looks good. The thick glazed ceramic shell looks attractive and gives the feeling that it is built to last a lifetime.

I find it easy to move the mammoth grill seated on a robust wheel cart whenever I need to rearrange my patio setup.

Scraping the grill bottom is a time-consuming task after the grilling session, and you miss out on the gossip.

Fortunately, with removable ask drawers, I can clean up quickly and enjoy the chat session with family and friends.

A learning curve

When I started using the Big Joe, there was a learning curve. I had to learn how to control the temperature and airflow with the draft door and top vent.

It took some practice. The knowledgeable staff member at BBQs 2U was there to help every step of the way.

I was pointed toward online resources and given tips on achieving the perfect smoke flavor. Now, I can confidently control the temperature for any cooking style. This sense of accomplishment from mastering this grill is rewarding.

More than a grill

Owning Kamado Joe Big Joe BBQs accompany a sense of community. I found myriads of social media groups and online forums dedicated to kamado-style grilling.

Here, the passionate grilling enthusiasts share tips, techniques, and recipes. I connected with other grillers, learned new things, and gained inspiration for my next BBQ adventure.

Big Joe is an investment

The Big Joe is a costly grill. Here is the thing-it is not a grill but an investment towards countless delicious meals in your backyard with loved ones and years of grilling enjoyment.

The built quality, heat retention, and versatility make it matchless, indicating that the grill is built to last.

With BBQs 2U customer service, I know I am covered if anything goes wrong!
